How to Request Account Deletion

You can delete your TypePedal account directly from within the app, or by contacting us via email.

Option 1 — Delete from the App (Instant)

  1. Open the TypePedal app and sign in to your account.
  2. Navigate to the User tab (bottom navigation).
  3. Scroll down and tap "DELETE ACCOUNT".
  4. Confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears.
  5. Your account, subscription data, and associated records are permanently deleted immediately.

Option 2 — Request via Email

  1. Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line: "TypePedal Account Deletion Request".
  2. Include the email address associated with your TypePedal account so we can identify it.
  3. We will process your request and confirm deletion within 7 business days.

What Data Is Deleted vs. Retained

The table below describes what happens to each type of data when your account is deleted.

Email address & account credentials Permanently deleted No longer needed after account closure
Subscription status Permanently deleted Removed from our database
Pedalboard presets & local settings Stored locally only — deleted when app is uninstalled This data never leaves your device
Audio data Never collected All audio processing is done in real-time on your device and is never uploaded
Purchase & transaction records Retained for up to 7 years Required by applicable financial and tax regulations. Managed by Google Play / Stripe.
Anonymized crash reports Retained for up to 90 days Retained briefly for product stability analysis; contains no personal data

Note on In-App Purchases

Deleting your TypePedal account will not automatically cancel any active subscriptions managed by Google Play or Stripe. To cancel a subscription, please do so through the Google Play Store (Android) or your Stripe billing portal (Windows) before requesting account deletion.
